Many conservatives are worried about what Barry Obama is saying, and I am too. But I am also worried about what he isn’t saying, but what he is planning on doing when in office. The democrats are counting on an Obama administration so they can once again ban off shore drilling, re-inact the fairness doctrine, and reppeal President Bush’s ban on partial birth abortions.
Off Shore Drilling - Since the democrats let the congressional ban on off shore drilling expire, many voters were suckered into thinking the democrats were interested in lowering gas prices via drilling our own oil instead of importing it. However as soon as Obama is in office I promise you the ban will go right back up and you wont hear a word about it. The media will be so in the tank for Obama at that point (like they already aren’t?) that you wont hear about how China and Venezuela are drilling off the coast of Florida for our oil.
The Fairness Doctrine - Once law, it was repealed by Reagen in the 80’s because he felt it violated the freedom of speech. The Fairness Doctrine mandates equal time for seperate political views. For example, if you own a radio station with 6 hours of conservative talk then you must broadcast 6 hours of liberal talk. There must be equal representation of all viewpoints. If this doctrine is reinstated into law, it would be the end of conservative talk. Period. The simple fact is that conservative talk makes money, liberal talk does not. Many station owners would be forced to abandon conservative talk because they would lose so much money on liberal talk. In addition, many small stations that generate nearly all their revenue with programs like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity would simply have to close. Putting people out of business, this is what Obama and the democrats really want.
Partial Birth Abortions - Not for the faint at heart. A partial birth abortion is where the baby’s head is exposed during the brith, and then crushed by the doctor. This is the most natural form of abortion because the body goes through the whole pregnancy cycle, and why this isn’t simply called murder is beyond me. Many women (and men) feel that this type of abortion is the healthest way to abort a baby, and given a democrat run washington their voices will be heard.
As awful as all that sounds, this is just a taste of the “new vision for America” that Obama has, it’s amazing how ignorent people are. They cry foul if their views aren’t broadcasted on radio stations they aren’t listening to, but are totally fine with the crushing of a baby’s skull.
